BIO

Born in 1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Flor Carle started to creativly express herself from a very early age. Since 2016 she has been living and working in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she creats art with various materiales and media. Flor Carle's artwork opens up an introspective, dark and oniric world, full of magic, mystery and infinite possibilities. Especially nature offers her inspiration as well as the culture and people of her home country and the countries she has visited. Carle's art ranges from surrealism to primitivism and makes use of various techniques like acrylic painting, collages and linocut. Her art is characterised by a naive appearance which then reveals a further and deeper level of meaning. In order to create her artwork, Carle not only uses classic materials but also cardboard, used and recycled objects or old magazines to compile collages.
Flor Carle was a member of the Asociación de Dibujantes Argentinos (A.D.A.), for which she held workshops and gave lectures, as well as for the most imporant book fair oft the Spanish speaking world, the Feria Internacional del Libro. Flor Carle's artwork has also been published in a publication by the Asociación de Dibujantes Argentinos. Carle also collaborated with the Argentine editorial Terrorismo Gráfico, for which she designed postcards.
Flor Carle's art has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions in Argentina. Her artwork was also exhibited in German galleries in Berlin (Supalife), Frankfurt am Main (Be Poet, Trashland) and Wiesbaden (RöRth Galerie, Berlitz Sprachcenter).
